The picture we received from the shelter.  His eyes told us that he needed our help.

Logan. His first day in a foster home, much happier face.

On January 26th, Logan started suffering from clustered seizures.  Despite the heaviest dose of medication we could safely administer, he continued to have them every hour.  He was put in an induced coma on the 27th, and continued to have them.  He had lost his fight for life.  Thus, we had to make the extremely hard decision to humanely euthanize him.

Despite his heartworms, partial blindness,  ruptured disc, old hip fracture, and age, we were able to give him a few weeks to be happy and pain free.  His foster mom reports that he was incredibly sweet and well-mannered even up until his final days.

Please consider sponsoring a dog in dedication of Logan.  With a sponsor, we will be able to help more dogs like Logan.  If you would like to sponsor, contact Michelle at md@diamondrescue.org.
